this is the most effort, time, and money that i’ve ever spent into making a cosplay. i’m damn proud of this one. soldier is my main, but i didn’t think i would be able to pull off a buff black guy very well.

i had a different wig before, but my first attempt of styling pretty much ruined the wig. i know the wig i have here is completely the wrong colour and isn’t styled right, but it was very last minute and the only option available. i plan to have a better wig next time i wear it.

the vest needs serious work, i was rushing to get finished last minute so it looks like complete and utter poop. :P

originally i had a modified airsoft m16 assault rifle, but convention staff did not approve. i ended up purchasing a star wars clone trooper gun replica in the vendors room in lieu of the rifle.. it was pretty ghetto. the merchant looked so sad when i told him i was going to paint over the logo, rofl.

i can’t think of much else to say about the costume. from day one that i played borderlands i fell in love with the game and i’m completely hooked.

my current plans are to bring this to otakon 2010. at that point i should have a better wig, better vest, and even a claptrap with me. :)
